Richard Dove

Richard Dove is a husband, father, poet and author. His widely celebrated picture book, Us Karen, was commended by Prime Minister Julia Gillard, who launched the book from her Canberra office. After a long career with Victoria Police, building the relationship between police and culturally diverse communities, Richard is now enjoying his dream job of coordinating the settlement of refugees in Melbourne’s west – and writing stories and poetry.
