Scent

I picked up a pleasant smell, today – one of the nostalgic kinds, which brings back recollections of memories unspecified. Most people complain of never being able to place the origin of such nostalgia, when they catch a whiff of it, but I always can. The scent smelled strongly of:

The candle store, pomanders, mulled wine, the colonial market, Christmas, the Battle of Camden military reenactment, the mall perfume booth, Germany, baked pie, the apple orchard in the mountains, the hospital radiology lab, the doctor's office, Patient Room 416, and J. Stanley Funeral Home.

I rarely ever come across it, anymore.
