A Different View

Alex slipped on his Augmented Reality goggles and stepped into the street. With a blink he could edit out the noise and smell of the chaotic world.

As he walked, he removed the tramps and beggars, the joggers and the dog-walkers, the mothers and their prams.

The world became a calmer place.


He then removed the commuters and the street sellers, the cyclists and the scooters.

Eventually, all that remained were clean, empty streets.


Arrows navigated him between the people he could longer see.

One day, the arrows disappeared and Alex stopped and removed the glasses. The streets remained empty.
