Intentional Speeding

It was invigorating to be caught by the speed radar this morning. I was traveling faster than normal. Few drivers were out on an early Saturday morning. The officer’s speed gun was centered on me. He had me. I did not slow down; I pushed my speed. When I arrived within speaking distance, the officer raised his arm pointing, as if to pull me over. I slowed down and said, “Did you clock me?” He said, “Yes. (pause) Seven miles an hour.” We open-mouthed laughed while bending over. I couldn't run that fast even after a Red Bull cleanse.
